This choice: Tragic loss of a brother • Go Back...Chapter #4Tragic loss of a brother by: Unknown Luffy was resting after a hard day of training. He sat down in the cave he found to call home, wanting to be left alone.
Though it had been a few months, the loss of Ace still hit home hard.
First Sabo, so long ago to a world noble. Now Ace as well.
His two surrogate brothers, gone.
His Nakama were scattered to the winds, and he didn't know if they were alright.
But he had to believe they were. He knew they were strong, and he had to hope they were safe.
Carefree he may be, but that didn't mean he couldn't worry.
Nami, Zoro, Ussop, and the rest.
Where had that large robot guy sent them?
Luffy sighed, something that was unlike him. Very few things could get him like this, wanting to destroy something out of anger.
Luffy turned his head as the sound of claws scrapping the stone was heard.
"What do you want?" He asked, seeing it was one of the lions that he had 'befriended,' A.K.A beat on while training both his body and his Haki of the king.
The lion whimpered, dropping an object from his mouth. The lion sensed that it was something powerful, beyond its comprehension. And, for some reason, it felt compelled to bring it to the strange and powerful human. Much like the Haki that the human produced, the object gave off its own aura, syncing up with Luffy's.
"Hmm? A book?" He asked, picking up an ancient tome. "Man, Nami or Robin would like something like this." He said. "Maybe I should go hunting. Getting kind of hungry here."
The lion went wide eyed, starting to shake in fear before running off. He didn't want to be the next meal.
Luffy watched as the overgrown lion ran away. "Huh, wonder what's got him? I was going to ask if he wanted to go hunting with me." He said before shrugging. "Oh well, more meat for me."
~Later, after the hunt~
Luffy patted his stomach, watching as the flames died down.
"Hm... what should I do now?" He asked the flames. "I don't want to sleep just yet... I guess I can look at the book that the lion brought."
Luffy got up and grabbed the book form the cave, before sitting back down at the fire.
