It had happened before, but it was never pleasant; upon entering the next floor of Tartarus, Ken Amada had been split from the group. "Don't worry, you guys aren't that far apart, it shouldn't take you too long to get back together." Fuuka, their Mission Control so to speak, said from the first floor of the nightmarish tower. "Wait, hold on, I'm sensing something, it's..."
"Fuuka? Fuuka!" Ken realized he was alone, alone in a way that he hadn't been ever since he'd joined SEES, since the death of Shinjiro and he confided everything he could in Minako. Now, there was something wrong, something wasn't right, and though he held onto his spear he couldn't keep his hands from shaking. "Don't worry, you'll meet back up with the girls before long." Junpei and Akihiko were off on a class trip, so he was the only male around for the time being, something that Junpei had teased him over and Yukari had whacked Junpei in turn over.
Ken steeled himself and made his way slowly through the psychedelic hallways, when he spotted a shadow, a tiny, barely an inch or two long, like some sort of weird worm, and on it was a tiny VI, marking it as a shadow of the Lovers Arcana. "Ha, thought you could get the jump on me did you?" Ken said as boisterously as he could manage. "Well guess again!" Ken jumped and brought his spear down, but the shadow proved much faster than it first seemed. Before Ken could begin the second attack, the shadow suddenly jumped onto his leg, and began crawling up his shorts!
"Whoa, get out of there!" A strange sensation overcame Ken, a pulsing, headpounding sensation, and as he passed out, he saw Yukari and Mitsuru, and behind them Aigis and Minako.
