Chapter #5

Check your old room

    by: Hollybear Author IconMail Icon
You run into your old room, and find your old body sleeping in your old bed. Giving your old body a shake, you quickly wake your old self up.

Your old body rubs her eyes and looks up at you. Their eyes get wide in a terror as they scream bloody murder while pointing at you.

"What the hell is going on?" Your old body screams.

"I don't know, I was hoping you could tell me!" You scream back.

After several minutes of hysterics, that your father wisely decided to stay out of, it is discovered that you and your mother have switched bodies. Neither of you can believe what has happened. It is too surreal.

You spend most of the morning trying to figure out how this happened, but no feasible ideas are produced. Ultimately, you decide to live each other's life until you can find a solution to your problem.

After your mother exits your bedroom to use the restroom, you sneak over to your closet. Inside, you find your fabulous red dress. You sigh in despair as you realize that you spent all that money on a dress that you won't even get to wear once.

"Mom, we need to talk," You say to your mother before you realize how ridiculous it sounds to call your teenage body, "mom".

"Sweetie," Your mother begins, "We need to lay down a couple of ground rules for the time being. For starters, I'm going to be referring to you as 'mom' from now on. It will look really odd if you keep calling me mom. Second, you need to start calling me by your old name. That way we can look like a normal mother and daughter."

"That makes sense," You agree.

"That just leaves one final question," Your mother breathes slowly. "Can I go to your Prom in your place?"

You have the following choices:

1. Let your mother take your place at Prom

2. Keep her home for the evening
