John smiled and said "You did spend a year in Asia. Let's see what you learned Ryan."
Ryan nodded and said "Wait for me outside. I need to change."
The two of them left and Ryan donned his outfit. He wore black foot straps with a red hakama. He then put on a combat vest with
no sleves. He placed stun grenades on the center, he had adopted a non lethal way of battle from the monks in China. Lastly he placed a white karate gi over it.
But just in case he strapped his katana on his left hip. With that he shut the door and walked outside.
Quite a few people had gathered to see the duel. Mel was next to John and noticed Ryan's outfit.
"What's with that get up?" Mel asked.
"It's for ease of movement." Ryan said bluntly.
A few of the starmage prefects created a force field around John and Ryan.
John created a flame in both his hands. "I'm gonna enjoy this, win or lose."
Ryan slid his left thumb to push the sword out it's scabbard just a little.
"Took the words out my mouth." he muttered.
John fired his spell right at Ryan, but to his shock Ryan slid under it.
With a quick flash, Ryan's katana slashed upwards leaveing a gash on his chest.
John staggered back and Ryan lept back to wait for John to make his next move.
He heard a voice behind him "That looked like it hurt."
Ryan turned only to get shocked in the chest. "Shit he must have cloned himself!" he thought.
Before John could say a thing Ryan had thrown a stun grenade as he slid.
John had to close his eyes to nulify it's effects. As soon as he did though he was nailed hard in the gut by Ryan's right fist.
With sheer power on his side, Ryan lifted John up with the same fist and threw him over his shoulder.
John winced in pain as he got back up. "How did that grenade not effect you?" he asked Ryan
"I'm so used to it's effect that I'm immune to it." Ryan said.
John began to plan his next move. What would he do?
