Chapter #4

Crash landing

    by: Unorthodox Author IconMail Icon
Order 66 hit the Jedi hard... very hard... countless Jedi lost their lives at the hands of Emperor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious, his apprentice the traitorous Anikan Skywalker now going by the title of Darth Varder, and the massive army of clone troopers.

Shaak Ti was one of the lucky ones to survive, she did so by a combination of another Jedi's sacrifice, and sheer luck.

She did not know the name of the Jedi that risked his life to save hers. He was a human male perhaps just barely out of the padawan stage in his training... because of this he didn't last long, but before Shaak Ti was to be gunned down by the 5 clone troopers marching behind her as she walked with them to the platform where her Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor was docked, she had intended to leave of the planet of Felucia to provide her fellow Jedi Aayla Secura with some much needed assistance and give orders to the clones behind her on how best to follow her ship, these were all dashed as her life was altered forever by what happened next, the unnamed Jedi jumped down onto the platform and killed one of the troopers with his blue lightsaber and yelled for her to run as they began to shoot at him.

Blocking most of the blaster bolts with his lightsaber he yelled incoherently about how the clone troopers were killing Jedi by the thousands, her Force Sense ability told her that he was not entirely lying, panicking she boarded her ship and left him behind as he was blasted dead by the troopers after he could no longer block their blaster bolts.

Shaak Ti flew by the Jedi temple on her way out of Coruscant's atmosphere, the sight of it on fire and sporadic explosions occurring on and in it told her he was telling the truth, from what she was able to sense of the turmoil inside she determined that there was nothing she could do, both because of the fact that it would be suicide and the fact that she now had 3 clone Z-95 starfighters on her tail as she fled.

Her sole advantage was that she knew that they intended to kill her as such she was able to destroy them after a very intense dogfight before she jumped into hyperspace bound for the outer rim.

Unfortunately Shaak Ti failed to notice that during said fight a stray blaster bolt had managed to damage the hydraulics line, the effect of this systems failure was not immediate but it accumulated as she spent the next 7 hours in hyperspace... wondering if anyone else was gonna survive Order 66; when her ship finally came out of hyperspace she found herself in orbit around an uncharted planet, not sensing the dark side on it she considered it a suitable candidate to hide but needed more information.

Sending a probe into it's atmosphere the information it sent back was rather... unusual, the planet's climate was very similar to Naboo, there was a breathable atmosphere, lots of open plains with unusually fertile soil for growing crops, scenic lakes and swamps that would be great for a hideout.

Shaak Ti detached her fighter from it's hyperspace ring and set course to enter the planet's atmosphere when the probe sent back more information that gave her pause. It detected that there was a civilization on the planet, the native race was primitive in comparison to galactic society and had apparently never been contacted by it before.

In terms of technological prowess they appeared to be in the midst of an industrial revolution, with most of their efforts focused on agriculture rather than transport to which they appeared to ship goods exclusively by boat.

This new information made Shaak Ti change her mind and attempt to leave the atmosphere to find a place where she wouldn't scare an uncontacted species with an unintentional 1st contact.

But when she tried to turn her ship up to leave the atmosphere the controls were jammed. It was only then did she notice the failure of the hydraulics system, she had no control and was unable to move her ship in any direction other than a straight line as she plummeted toward the planet's surface.

Shaak Ti was never studied engineering so even if she could fix the problem with the force she wouldn't know how to fix the the problem itself; all she could do was brace for impact with a Force Protect barrier around her body she deployed it when she was about 800 feet above the ground.

Placing all her power into the barrier she was able to survive the initial impact but skidding along the surface made her wane and caught her off guard, and lost consciousness after crashing into what appeared to be the local equivalent of a wheat field.

When Shaak Ti finally awoke she found herself being cared for by what appeared to be the locals. They were very curious beings indeed, in appearance they approximated a cross between blue Twi'leks and Kaminons.

Like the Kaminoans they had black eyes with white pupils, eyelids that closed vertically when they blinked, and were without noses apart from a pair of small vertical slits in their faces acting as nostrils, so they appear to have once been aquatic in their evolution, but like the Twi'leks they had what appeared to be Lekku on their heads, although they were much shorter than those found on Twi'leks and Togrutas like Shaak Ti's they still approximated such. remarkably they were located on different parts of the head for each gender. On the women (as Shaak Ti would later learn) the lekku number and length tended to vary but was always around 20 and only around 5 to 9 inches long on the back of their head, where as men always had 7 lekku on their jaw 3 on the sides and one on the chin never exceeding 3 inches in length to proximate a short beard. and aside from semi-webbed hands with 3 fingers and feet with the same number of toes, they had otherwise humanoid bodies, instead of scales, blue skin as smooth as those of Twi'lek women.

They were dressed in tribal looking outfits despite what the probe picked of of their society being a recent industrial one, apparently such clothes were common amongst the farmers of the planet. As these same farmers tended to Shaak Ti's wounds, she retrieved her translator from her pocket and patched into it as best she could to understand their language and in turn speak to them.

From what she could gather the planet was called Ib and the species are called the Zar. and Zar was both singular and plural.

Shaak Ti's effort to come to terms with what was happening as well as muster up her whatever force powers she had left to heal herself. When she did so the Zar were amazed at how her wounds were able to heal themselves right before their eyes, apparently the force was unknown to the Zar as far as she could tell.

The Zar men brought Shaak Ti back to the nearest house on a stretcher, for she was still relatively weak, from what Shaak Ti could tell they had taken her for a goddess given her force powers and her appearance being so radically different from the Zar or anything else on Ib.

It was inside the house as the Zar conversed with each other over what to do and speculation as to why this "goddess" that Shaak Ti first saw a Zar woman, she was extremely obese, which appeared to be the norm from what the translator pieced together for her, Shaak Ti was then alarmed to find the Zar being perplexed by how... skinny she was and one of them suggested to pay homage to the fallen goddess by fattening her up...

Shaak Ti was unsure how to react to this... on hand she could embrace the worship, might as well live in luxury if it means hiding from the empire, though that might bring a lot of risks should the deception be discovered, not to mention it goes against the Jedi code.

On another hand she could follow the Jedi code and tell them the truth possibly even escape from a weight gain she possibly couldn't cope with, although that was the least appealing and the most risky.

A 3rd option presented itself to Shaak Ti when she got an idea, she could claim to be a demi-goddess and tell them half truths about why she's here perhaps even lead them into a new age that might lead to space travel and resisting of The newly formed 1st Galactic Empire, if she had to pack on weight to do so, fine, she just hoped that she could keep the weight gain to a minimum.

When a Zar man named Sona-Nyl dressed in more formal attire than that of his peers (Apparently the mayor of the village? Or high priest? Both? Or something similar?) asked her "What is your name goddess and why have you fallen from the sky?"

Shaak Ti then realized she was out of time pondering her answer and picked from 1 of her 3 options

You have the following choices:

1. All Hail Shaak Ti, the goddess of gluttony

*Noteb*
2. Rejection try to escape

*Noteb*
3. Mixture, lead the people as a demi-goddess

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
