"So the Demon-Witch wishes to rule the Widowwood? The sheer arrogance!"
Surprised at a new, confidant voice, both Lydia and Celeste turn to find a newcomer striding into the wrecked hall. Both recognize her as a dryad, and a powerful one to stray this far from the forest. Like all dryads, her skin was the color of moss, her regal clothes constructed various colors of leaves. She was beautiful, but in a 'Stern-Mother' sort of way.
Wherever she walked, plants grew. Grass sprouted in-between the paving stones, faded flowers brightened and even the plants Lydia had drained appeared to be recovering somewhat.
Standing next to Lydia's foot, not even halfway to her ankle despite being 6' tall, the newcomer glared up at the two giantesses.
"D-D-D-Dryad-Queen! Help!" The king managed to splutter out.
"Be silent, Man-King." The Dryad spat. "I haven't come for your sake."
"Oh, you haven't?" Lydia cooed. "Then what harm is there in leaving us be? We could make powerful allies-"
Lydia was interrupted by roots bursting though the cracked floor and wrapping around both her and Celeste's feet, quickly thickening enough that they couldn't immediately break free.
"Allies? I, a spirit of the forest, ally with aberrations? Do you even know of what you ARE, Demon-Witch? With your very touch, you drain the life from everything and add it to your own!" The Dryad-Queen spat.
With a flex of her hands, she surged upwards, her leaf-clothing multiplying to cover the same 'skin' as before. Before anyone could blink, she had settled at the height of the mightiest of trees, 50 feet taller then the two mortals. With her surge of height, the roots binding Lydia and Celeste also surged in size, becoming as thick as their arms and climbing all the way to their waists.
"W-wait!" Celeste interrupted."Isn't that how nature works? The strong feed on the weak?"
The Dryad-Queen glared down at Celeste, and slapped her without warning. Celeste, unable to move her feet, fell backward as the waist.
"The power of demons exist outside the natural order, and so cheat the strong of their power! To counter that, the spirits of nature exist to foil such power stealing." The Dryad-Queen focused he gaze on Lydia, and the witch abruptly realized that the roots were doing more than restraining her, they were blocking her energy drain ability and draining her energy!
