After thinking for a few solid minutes, Josh records this in the dictaphone:

"Kate will suddenly realize that she's been friend with me for so long, and since I've never been the type of guy you usually date, she hasn't think of me as a boyfriend. But now she knows it was wrong, and that there's no reason we shouldn't date."

Josh sighs. He didn't want to manipulate Kate, so it's the lowest form of manipulation he could think of.

He hoped it would be enough to get out of the friendzone...
