Alex found a weird package in front of his door. Strange, he didn't order anything recently, and he knows his parents didn't either.
"Hey, free stuff !" he thought.
He brought the box to his room, without telling his parents. Alex was the type of guy to be alone, not sharing secrets with anybody, not speaking loudly... His parents once in a while tell him to open up, find friends, to share his games with.
Alex did indeed have an hobby, he made games, mostly card games and board games, even though he also like programming on the computer. In fact, he only hoped to use the box for one of his game, but he found something really, really better.
He looked at the dictaphone, and read the note that said something about "Wishes coming true". Probably a fake toy, he thought. Even though, he was curious enough to try it.
But as he was rising his arm to test the dictaphone, he accidentally knocked over a open bottle of water. And there was one of his card game on the floor ! Forgetting he had pushed the record button, he said :
"Damn ! Please water, don't wet my cards !"
Then something weird happened, a faint sparkling sound echoed, and the water that was about to spill on his cards just... Left. Like there was an invisible wall blocking the cards. Alex wondered what happened, touched his dry cards, touched the water, and then noticed he was holding the record button. He released it and then pushed it again.
"The... Bottle was never knocked over ?" he said, unsure of himself.
But then, with another sparkling sound, the bottle was suddenly standing, full of water, his floor dry.
"But that's impossible ! I just..."
It was weird. Alex was sure he knocked over the bottle, but he didn't actually remembered doing it. But he said in the dictaphone that... He rewound the tape and listened to it again to be sure.
Alex understood, the dictaphone seemed to rewrite reality !
"Alex ! It's time to go to school !"
