You look down the hall to see the apartment belonging to Bernice, one of the more reclusive of the monsters. She was an ifrit, a type of fire elemental genie. She had bright red skin and long black hair with red streaks and glowing eyes. From what you've seen of her, she dressed in black Arabic garbs and carried her lamp in her sash belt to make sure nobody stole or misused it.
You heard Bernice was a cook at a monster restaurant in town and that she was very single minded when it came to her work. She was a perfectionist who was always trying to improve on her previous work. Chel warned you that Bernice had a fiery temper, which you'd expect from a flame element genie and didn't like being interrupted, especially when she was trying to create a menu. Perhaps this wasn't the best idea, but you figured it was worth a shot.
It takes you forty five minutes to reach Bernice's door and you're exhausted. This apartment wasn't built for humans, especially given the fact Nefernina wouldn't built a walkway for humans if the city ordered her to. After a brief minute to catch your breath, you walk up to Bernice's door and tap on it. "Hello?" you ask. "Bernice? Are you in there." However, there's no response, so you knock again. "It's me, R.L.! Your neighbor from below." There's still no answer.
"What is she deaf?" you ask. You knock again hoping to get a response this time. You don't know why you're doing this. You're not even sure if the flame genie likes humans.
