"So...?"Elle followed up, taking another gulp of her drink. The can was empty only after two chugs, and she crushed it, throwing it away into the garbage dump that was her floor.
"I've...heard your music before."You finished.
"Have you now?"She giggled, leaning over to look down at you, a glint in her eye. Other than DJ and mix records, Elle was known to release music of her own. She already had an album out, and it was pretty popular with the younger monsters of Horrorville. Cadence had it playing one time, doing her little odd zombie shuffle to the electro-pop music blasting through the air. You had to hand it to the harpy girl, she knew her way around a record table and a synthesizer.
"Yeah,"You went on."The first track was actually a pretty cool lead-up to the rest of the songs. I could hear a similar beat through them, kinda heavy on the bass drop, but just light enough to catch some record spins and hear the synthesizer in the background. Plus, your vocals mixed in well."
Her eyes lit up even more."Finally! Somebody gets my music!"She clapped her wings together happily."You have no idea how much the other monsters 'round here are so...culturally dead with the music. Some of them still listen to the..."She shuddered."...Monster Mash..."She gagged at the song's name in her beak. You had to chuckle at that.
"So..."She picked you up off of the floor, and you found yourself in her feathery palm, looking at her ecstatic face."You're pretty cool for a little dude."
"Thanks."You shrug. You just liked her music, and got this reaction from her? Pretty good considering how you handled the other monsters in this apartment complex.
