The two brothers twisted and tumbled on the grass, their laughter and grunts echoing through the backyard as Julian stood by, cheering them on. Cooper, with his larger frame, had Blake pinned briefly, but Blake's quick thinking and years of experience soon turned the tide.
“Not bad, little—uh, big brother,” Blake said through gritted teeth, managing to slip an arm out of Cooper's hold. He pushed against Cooper’s shoulder, using the momentum to roll them both over. With a sharp twist, Blake hooked his leg around Cooper’s and threw his weight to the side, sending the younger brother sprawling onto his back.
“What the—?!” Cooper gasped, clearly caught off guard.
Blake didn’t waste a second. In one fluid motion, he straddled Cooper’s waist and locked his arms down, pinning him firmly to the ground. Cooper struggled beneath him, squirming and trying to buck him off, but Blake’s grip was unrelenting.
“Come on, Coop! You didn’t think I’d just let you win, did you?” Blake teased, his grin widening.
“Get off me, you cheat!” Cooper protested, though there was no real anger in his voice—just surprise and a hint of frustration.
Julian burst out laughing. “Looks like the old man’s still got it! You gonna tap out, Coop, or what?”
Cooper groaned, his face scrunched in determination as he made one last attempt to free himself. He arched his back, trying to use his size to overpower Blake, but it was no use. Blake shifted his weight just enough to keep him pinned without budging.
“All right, all right!” Cooper finally relented, his laughter breaking through his mock protests. “I give up! You win, okay?”
Blake let out a triumphant whoop, releasing his brother and standing up. He reached down to help Cooper to his feet, a cocky grin on his face. “Told you. Experience beats brute force any day.”
Cooper rolled his eyes, brushing grass off his shirt. “Yeah, yeah. Enjoy it while it lasts. Next time, I’ll actually try.”
Blake smirked. “Sure, next time. But just so you know—your big bro still runs this yard.”
