You sit down in the Deputy Director Smith's office sipping your coffee. He slides a folder across the desk and says, "This is your next mission. You'll be going deep cover as a member of Lombardi's family". You've been waiting ever since the Bureau obtained the device to use it on a mission. Only two other agents have used it and made large busts. Their careers took off after that. The only downside of the device is that the effects are not reversible. They can become somebody else, but not their old selves. The other down side is that everytime you use it there is an increased chance of mutation. You try to hide your enthusiasm as you retrieve the folder off the desk. You open the folder and nearly choke on your coffee. "You want me to become his daughter", you blurt out! Smith smiles and nods his head. "Sir, there has to be another way. I mean does he have a son, or brother I can replace", you stammer? Smith shakes his head and says, "He has no sons and he doesn't trust the other male members of his family. Emma is his daughter for his first marriage. His wife got custody and he hasn't seen her since she was 12. She's been traveling Europe after graduating college and recently overdosed in Amsterdam and is in a coma. The Bureau has her in a secure hospital". You look at the folder again considering the gravity of the situation. Smith gets up from his chair and says, "Listen Mark, this is a tough mission for any agent. Maybe you're not up to it. Maybe Edwards will take it". You know he's baiting you. Edwards and you have been compeating for every position since the academy. "No, no, I'll take it. I'll do it", you blurt out. Smith smiles and says, "Great, You'll get started right away. You can read the folder on the way down to the lab. You stand up and while Smith is walking you downstair begin reading through the file. Right inside the cover is a picture of Emma.
