"...if you'd like to get a bite to eat sometime?" you manage to ask.
"Well, Ah'd love to, sugarcube," says the southern belle, "but Ah can't go tonight, since Big Mac ain't here to watch Apple Bloom, and ya know Granny Smith ain't fit fer babysittin'. Tell ya what: Big Mac is comin' back to Ponyville tomorrow night, so how about the next afternoon?"
"Alright, Sunday afternoon it is," you say, trying not to sound too excited.
"Can't wait, partner," she says. "Now, Ah need t' get to work."
"Sure," you say as Applejack walks away, but then something dawns on you: You forgot to tell her that you meant for your outing to be a date. You smack yourself for forgetting to mention that. Oh well, you can still admit your feelings for AJ on Sunday. You walk back into the Apple Family home to watch Apple Bloom while her sister works the orchards.
When you get home later that evening, you're greeted by Twilight.
"Why were you out so late? Why couldn't you help me and Fluttershy? Why didn't you put the toilet seat down?" she asked quickly.
"Can the interrogation wait until after I get in the house?" you ask.
"Fair enough," the unicorn huffs.
You enter the room and sit on the couch before addressing Twilight's inquiries. "I was helping Applejack at the farm. Big Mac isn't around, so she has do do his chores on top of her own, leaving Apple Bloom without someone to watch her. As for your last question, would it kill you to look before you sit?"
"Whatever," she says. "You could have just told me."
"Are we really having this conversation?"
Realizing that nothing will make you care about her complaints, Twilight grunts in frustration and goes up to her room. How you were able to put up with her for three years is beyond you.
Two days later, you walk to Sweet Apple Acres to meet Applejack for your lunch "date". When you knocked on the door, instead of AJ answering, it was Big McIntosh. Seeing him towering over you with a blank expression almost made you shit bricks. "H-hey, Big Mac," you say nervously. "Welcome back to Ponyville... Everything good?"
"Eeyup," he replies.
"So... I'm here for Applejack. We were going out for lunch today..." you say.
Big Mac raises an eyebrow at you and turns around to call his sister, who rushes down to see you. "Howdy there, sugarcube!" she says. "Sorry Ah couldn't answer the door. Ah was havin' some trouble findin' my hat."
"No worries, AJ. Ready to go?" you ask.
"Sure," she says as you two set off to the diner. As you were leaving the farm, however, you got the feeling that you were being watched, so you turned around to see that...
