This choice: Someone interrupts the scene. • Go Back...Chapter #5Even More Awkward by: GWriter   "Whoa! What's going on here," says somepony. The voice sounds very deep and threatening, and you nearly piss your pants. You look up and see Pinkie Pie standing over you and Apple Bloom.
"Just kidding!" she says. "Didja like my deep stallion voice?"
"Not funny," you say. "This isn't what it looks like, by the way."
"I know, sillies!" she says. "I saw you when you tried to pick Apple Bloom up off of the ground. I guess you don't know your own strength!"
"I guess not," you say, as the young filly gets off of you and you get up on your feet. "So, you wanted me to taste test a new recipe of yours?"
"That's right!" says Pinkie. "And now I have two taste testers since you brought Apple Bloom along with you!" She leads you and Apple Bloom to Sugarcube Corner, where the muffins were waiting. You and Apple Bloom sit at the table and you each pick up a muffin. After taking a taste, both of you pause for a moment, then wolf down your respective muffins.
"That was amazin'!" says Apple Bloom. "The best muffin Ah ever tasted!"
"Same here!" you say.
"Oh you guys," says Pinkie Pie. "You really think so?"
"We know so!" you say. "These are gonna be a hit!"
"Well thanks for testing them for me!" she says. "So, where are you two headed now?"
"Everypony's asked me for help today, and the next closest place is the school track, where Rainbow Dash wants me to help her train for the final track meet of the year," you say.
"Well, tell Dashie hi for me!" she says.
"Will do, Pinkie," you say, and you and Apple Bloom leave Sugarcube Corner.
On your way to the school track, you look at Apple Bloom, who is still blushing at what happened between you two earlier. It's a good thing Pinkie interrupted you, because you had a feeling that Apple Bloom wanted to kiss you, which would have been way wrong. You're a junior in high school, and she's in the seventh grade, but apparently that doesn't matter to her. Then again, everypony's been through that point in their lives where they've had an unrealistic crush on someone older than them. Hell, even you had a crush on Cadance back when she used to babysit you and Twilight, and the age gap between you and her (seven years) is bigger than the age gap between you and Apple Bloom (four years). It's obvious that Apple Bloom is into you, but you like her older sister. If she were a couple years older, then maybe, you'd consider it.
So, this begs the question: what are you gonna do about this? You can't just string the poor filly along, but you don't want to crush her heart, either. What to do?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
