"Rartiy? She's pretty cute," says Jumper.
"Okay, he thinks she's cute. That's a good sign," you think to yourself.
"Maybe I'll take her to the end-of-school dance..." Jumper wonders aloud. He had a habit of doing that.
"Well, you should," you say a little too quickly. "I know she doesn't have any plans, so maybe she'll want to go with you."
"Oh, really?" he asks. "Thanks for the tip, [your name]. I owe you one."
"Don't mention it," you say. As you walk off, you turn around for a quick second and see Jumper going over to Rarity's place. Mission accomplished.
You finally get home and use your hey to get inside. "Twilight! I'm home!" you say.
"Hey, [your name]," says your pony friend happily. "Where've you been?"
"Oh, over at Rarity's," you say. "She was asking me something about the dance."
"Oh... was she?" Twilight asks, her demeanor changing to a more melancholy one, although you didn't notice it. "What exactly did she ask you?"
"She wanted me to hook her up with one of my classmates, so I did," you explain.
"Oh, okay!" she says her attitude jumping right back to where it was before. Again, you didn't notice this. "So, do you have anypony in mind that you'd like to take to the dance?" she asks.
"Not really," you say. "I wasn't even planning on going. Why?"
"Well, who knows?" she asks back. "Maybe there's some mare out there that's hoping that you'll ask her."
"I hope you're right," you say. "It'll save me a night of just being here by myself." You then walk upstairs, leaving Twilight alone, as she watches you go up the stairs. She quietly sighs to herself sinking in a nearby chair.
As you walk into your room, someone calls you, but who?
