As Shawn quickly drove to the studio address Rebecca had sent him to. About a year ago Shawn used to be really nervous about this kind of thing, but he'd done it a few times by now so he knew the drill. He walked up the front desk and told the security, "I'm Chloe Reilly. I'm the 3:00." With the Shawn was waved into the office just like that.
When Shawn entered the room he noticed all of the posters on the wall of movies he'd seen before and saw a bunch of awards on the shelves. Good job Becca, looks like you got me a job with somebody legit, Shawn thought to himself. He was motioned to sit down by a formidable woman behind the desk. Shawn saw her nameplate on the desk and knew the name instantly. It was Beatrix Hoff, she was nicknamed the 'Queen of the B movie' but her latest indie darling flick that got her a directing nomination had given her enough credibility to get a major picture. Shawn saw that she was about 45 years old with greying hair pulled back in a very tight bun that seemed to stretch out the skin on her face. Shawn was a little weirded out by the site, but remembered this woman was his ticket to a big paycheck so he just sat down and looked polite. Beatrix watched Shawn closely as he sat down, never before had he been judged by the way he moved so closely. After watching Shawn sit down and taking down some notes she simply said, "Very good. I believe you will fit the part."
Shawn blinked, "Just like that? I mean, thank you very much mam."
"You handle yourself with grace under the situation, that is exactly what I need. I can tell by the way you move you have a graceful confidence that is required of this job. As a fellow woman I must say that you are very brave for what you'll be doing. Here is the contract, you'll begin on Sunday for a costume fitting and filming begins Monday and it should only take about 6 days for the various scenes with a chance for a few more in pick up."
Shawn couldn't help but blush as he signed the contract, "You're too kind."
Beatrix took the contract and handed Shawn a folder, "Thank you for what you're willing to put out there for the world to see, here is the script, the parts you'll be needed for are highlighted. Have a nice day."
Shawn gladly took the folder and left, when he got to his car he called Rebecca to tell her the good news. "Hey cuz, I got the job!" Shawn said excitedly.
"Wow, that's great news! I must you sound a lot more excited than I thought you'd be."
"What do you mean by that?" Shawn asked.
"It's just that I thought you wouldn't exactly be happy with the conditions."
Shawn froze, "What conditions?"
Rebecca let out an audible sigh, "Oh Shawn, please tell me you actually read the contract."
Shawn gulped, "What was on the contract?"
Rebecca said in an overly calming manner, "Oh, it's nothing. Not that big a deal it's just..."
