Bored at home with nothing to do

         Rouge the Bat sighed. Here she was, once again lounging about on the couch in the late hours of the night. She didn't even have the excuse of suffering from insomnia, as her internal clock had forced her to gradually shift to a more nocturnal schedule over the last few years. Nothing interesting was going on, and there hadn't been any government assignments for some reason. That left Rouge with nothing but free time, and as the old saying went, too much of a good thing is a bad thing.

         "Am I really going to let myself waste away like this?" she asked herself. "I'm 24 now, I shouldn't be wasting my glory years laying on the couch and watching late-night television. But what would I do instead? I don't feel like hitting up any bars or clubs, everyone knows better than to let some priceless gem come within twenty miles of me, and the others are just up to the same old nonsense as always.

         "Maybe that's the problem. I need something new to do. Maybe if I get a move on now, I could..."

         Sitting up a bit, Rouge looked over at the wall-mounted clock behind the couch. It read 4:57 AM. She laid back down.

         "Eh, too late for tonight. First thing tomorrow night, for sure. For now, let's just see if I can find anything that's actually watchable as this hour."

         As Rouge perused through the channels...
