Eyes snapping open. Sarah sat bolt upright in an instant. Horror appearing on her face. Confusion replaced that, the accident must still be her most recent memory.
Reaching out a hand to calm her, to console her. She recoils from you. Shuffling backwards, until she' entirely free of the sheets. The plastic rattle of the disturbed blinds behind her stops her retreating further. Panic still fills her wide-eyed gaze. Her chest rises and falls heaving as she gulps deep breaths.
The confusion eases, as Sarah gets a handle on the situation.
"You're in a hospital." you tell her.
Her eyes fix on you, blinking as if she expects you to disappear.
"My Jamie..." your pet name means you relax, just a moment. Closing her eyes, they scrunch up, as she mutters "Hospital." over and over like a mantra. Her breathing slowing as she continues.
"I was in a crash." Her eyes snap open. "I was dying. My legs were trapped." The horror still fresh, the confusion returns, as she sees her legs extend from her body. A cursory exploration tells her there's no scar... No sign they were ever injured. As that sinks in, a wave of modesty washes over her.
Looking down, she sees she's entirely naked. Worse still, she can't ignore the massive bust heaving her forward.
