The city is beautiful. It’s always beautiful everytime Sonia gets on the flight to get her out of Columbia. But this visit to the city is permanent now that she’s got a card that says she can stay. Truthfully she would have stayed longer if not for her sister Gloria. First, the bruja has the gall to live in America using something that’s her right. Then she marries Jay, a man who admits when he met them he wanted to date her first. Sonia didn’t care that he was old enough to have kids her age, older even, at least she’d be married to a successful man! And to top it off, they have a son together they have Fulgencio Joseph and it burns a bridge with her sister when she finds out that Sonia tried to kiss Jay. Oddly, Gloria and Jay were at the airport to welcome her to america with Joe in Gloria’s arms and Gloria’s son from her first marriage, Manny. The boy lacks absolutely all form of self-conscious habits. Gloria rushes over while screaming, “Baby Hermana!” and grabs her in a massive bearhug, meaning she’s gotten over the fact Sonia tried to kiss her husband. Manny tells her, “Aunt Sonia, might I say that you look wonderful!” Sonia smiles, “Thank you, Manny.” He adds, “You’ll be more thankful after I’ve gotten you a ticket to an all-day spa resort.” Sonia hops for joy, while Jay asks Manny, “Did you take into account who would unpack for her?” Gloria smiles mischievously, “Why the machismos of course.” Jay mutters, “Fan-frickin-tastic.”
