I start to feels my limbs again, the position i am in is not exactly the most comfortable. I try to remember why my head pond so fiercely, and after a few try, finally the memory resurface from my still half-slumbering brain.
I passed last night in the Drunker Sailor Inn, drinking like a sponge, damn that mead was good. Ugh! Too good, it's not the first time that i pass my night's there, we black don't mind other creature presence, it make things more entertaining....
I open my eyes, thankfully while drunk, i had the presence of mind to drop myself in the back of my caves, where the light of the sun can't reach me.
I try to get up, luckily my cave posses a small water stream, fresh and clean, i just have to reach it and....remember that pain dulling spells, not that would be useful, urgh.
My first try end with my muzzle full of dirt, at least my cave is clean, then at the second try i finally get up, the world is still spinning a little, but i am making progress, i them apply my patented recovery method for situation like this.
I focus my power inside my head, then i cast a refreshing spell on myself, a cold soothing feeling gently flow in my still not fully wakened brain; after a few minutes worth of concentration, i release the full strength of the spell, creating a small gush of air around me. Most of the dulling pain has gone away, and i finally examine my situation, yesterday night, i needed some company, and having no mate i decided to go down the dock area of the nearby city, shrunken down obviously, most human don't care as long as you pay and don't try to eat the other customer. I remember that i was not the only dragon patron that night.
I fell the tingling leave my hind legs, so with some effort i push myself up, getting finally in my normal position. Rejoiced by my last success, i start happily walking towards the near fresh stream, while not big enough to wash myself in, is still deep enough to refresh my face. I submerge my head in the small stream and i let the cold feeling wake up the still slumbering part of my brain. Feeling that my little pick me up succeed, i bring my head back up and take a deep breath.
Yes i am finally ready to start the day. As i turn in place, a small ping of pain let's itself known on my left side, just under my wing. That damn Red, clawed me nearly two weeks ago when i erroneously got too near his territory borders, damn hir, the territory must be marked First, Then you may attack the intruders, not the opposite, bastard.
Anyway, with the sun hight in the sky, and my belly still empty, i should decide what to do first.
