This choice: Darlin', Darlin' Stand! by-hi me, oh-oh, Stayund, byyyyy me! (Surprise attack!) • Go Back... Nyx' stance shifted a bit as she tried to keep all the dragons and her fellow Alicorn in her vision. "Well, I think that... that this is MY castle, and these dragons are intruding on MY property!" Her attack stance shifted from clumsy and frightful to majestic and furious.
"Oh, your castle, huh? We were just gonna eat the gems in it, and if you ponies fly away like the scared brats you are, then we'll just-" The red dragon never got to finish as Nyx's buck sent him flying. "Hoo-wee! Working the farm every year with Applejack paid off!"
Nox smiled at his female ally. "Heh, that's what you call a buck? Lemme show you how a stallion does it."
"Is that a challenge, buddy?"
"Only if you think you can keep up!"
The two ponies glared at each other, smirks growing on their faces as the dragon Nyx had kicked stumbled back to his feet. "Well, what're you waiting for," the dragon growled. "Get 'em!"
Nyx and Nox each darted out of the way, flying around the dragons in opposite directions before swooping in and bucking the purple one out the window with a crash. Nyx smiled slyly. "We were planning on knocking out that window anyways."
"White one," Nox called, and Nyx swooped out of the way as he blasted the dragon with magical lightning.
Nox smiled, having knocked the dragon out with one blast, when a magical ball of ice flew past him to knock a fat brown dragon out of the air. "Don't worry, I got your back!"
The red dragon roared, fire billowing out of its mouth, both Alicorns barely getting shields up in time to keep themselves from being burnt.

In Ponyville's Books and Branches Library, Twilight was busily distracting herself with another read-through of a few older spell scrolls, all pertaining to the earliest attempted uses of Flyte and Cloudwalking on Earth ponies and Unicorns when she heard the dull, almost muted sound of a roar. "Spike?"
Spike looked up from the book he was reading. "... Yeah, Twilight? Did'ja need something?"
Twilight looks at him for a second before shaking her head. "No, not really. Just wondering if you were hungry. I thought I heard your stomach growling."
"Nah, I'm good. I think I had too many pop-rocks at the party last night." Spike snorted, a small pop and crackle emanating from his nose. "I think that filling sapphires with small amounts of gunpowder was both the smartest and craziest thing I've ever seen Pinkie do, when it came to cooking for dragons." Spike burped, a fireworks show in miniature dancing before him for a second. "The only problem is that she didn't tell me at first, and I ate the whole bowl..."
Twilight giggled, returning to her scrolls. "Alright, then. must've been my imagina-"
"TWILIGHT!"
"GYAH!"
"UUURRRP!"
"P-Pinkie Pie?! Don't do that, please!"
"Sorry, Twilight, but there's smoke and fire coming from Nyx's castle! I thought I should warn yo-" In a blur that even Pinkie could appreciate, Twilight was out the door. "Well, the cavalry's been sent. Have a good afternoon, Spike~!" She happily hopped into the Library's closet, where a whirring noise was heard for a second, before the door opend again, with nopony behind it.
Spike just raised the book to cover his face, thinking, 'this will all be over soon, it's okay... Nyx will be just fine.'

With a thwack, a slam, and a kra-kaTHOOM, All the dragons had been knocked unconscious. Then, using their combined strength, the two Alicorns sent them flying like a hammer-throw deep into the Everfree Forest. "Yeah, we did it!" Nyx and Nox shared a hoof-bump before their revelry was cut short by a bright flash, and a shout. "NYX!"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
