The ambulance arrives...

Lily had been very vague with the ambulance over the phone, but now that they were there, demanding a story, things were going a little worse than expected.
"You want me to believe", said the hospital employee, "that your friend in the bathroom, who was skinny-as-a-rail this morning, is now morbidly obese and goes on what seems to be uncontrollable rages?" There was more than a hint of sarcastic disbelief in his voice.
"Y-Yes! Just help us... get her out of here or something! Before she eats us out of house and home."
The employee paused. "Look, we're very busy people. And it doesn't matter how bored, or how slow a day is at your shitty diner; we've got work to do!!" With that, he slammed his ambulance door and drove off, much to Lily's protest.
Karen had listened to the whole event through the door. More tears fell down her fattened cheeks; so doctors wouldn't even believe her story, let alone fix it?! It was just as well. She knew she could have said something to the doctor through the bathroom door, but she was far, far too embarrassed to entangle someone else into this.
Phhhbbbbbraaaaaaaaaat! She was getting, well, not used to her gas, but it was becoming more natural to just let it loose rather than hold it in.
"L-Lily? Chef? HURRP! Please let me out now? I'm so starved... It feels like my belly's gonna digest itself! I-I need food..."
