Chapter #4

Because of an experiment failure

The girls were working on a pill that will allow the human body to use all of the energy of food they eat, in order to reduce waste.
"Experiment number 27, test subject rabbit 84 square" Said Mary as she pored the vile full of glowing green liquid.
"I really hope this one doesn't die, or start starving to death this time" Susan said figures crossed as Mary pored the experiment. Subject 84 square approached the water bowl, and began drinking. The girls took several steps back and watched in anticipation. As the subject finished it...... turned around and ran on it's wheel as it always does.
"Well the good news is it didn't explode" Mary said walk closer to the subjects cage.
"Yeah but we won't know if it worked until a few days from now."
"Well then let the observations begin!"
The girls got their notepads, pens, chairs and their recording equipment.
"Day one, the test subject lived through phase one, now recording phase two, how long will test subject 84 square last?" Both girls wrote down on their notepads.
"Through out the rest of the day, the subject did nothing out of the ordinarily, the subject ate it's food, ran on it's wheel, and slept."
"Day two, test subject still shows no sigh of effects of the experiment."
"Day three, the subject has started eating less, this could be a sigh of the starvation, the subjects starve themselves by thinking they are fun, but their body is slowly dying"
"Day four - six, the subject has been eating the same amount of food, for the last four days. This may be a sigh of the body now regulating it'self"
"Day Seven, it has now been a week, time to clean the cage and see if the subject has left any waste." After both of the girls finished the log they placed the subject into a different cage. Then proceeded to clean the cage, while cleaning they noticed something ground breaking. It had no waste. Nothing, they cleaned the cage on day two after the experiment started just so the subject would have time for it's body to react. But there was nothing now.
"It worked!" Yelled Mary
"Where's Johnny?1?" Both girls said at once.
At that moment a hologram of themselves informed them that Johnny is at a summer camp and won't return for a few more days.
"We can wait that long, we need to start human testing now!" Susan said with much excitement.
"But which one of us is going to take it?" Asked Mary
