"How about we try swapping some of our skills?" Stephanie asked. "If this so-called 'power' really works, it would be fun to we what it's like to be good at other things for awhile."
"Okay. Why not?" Evan agreed. "Now how do I swap?"
"I don't know, it's your power," she teased, still not believing he had any power.
"I guess I just have to focus on swapping and it'll happen," Evan reasoned. He then focused on swapping skills with his elder sister, but didn't feel anything.
"Did it work?" Stephanie asked.
"I'm not sure." Evan said. "We're going to have to test something that one of us is good at and the other isn't," he said, rubbing his head, still hurting from his headache. "Ahh... This headache is killing me."
Being the caring sister that she was, Stephanie offered to help Evan. "How about I text mom, and tell her your not feeling well? That way, we can spend the day together." It wasn't often Evan got to spend some quality time with his older sister these days. Plus, he was eager to see if this power worked.
"Okay. Sounds like fun," Evan said. "But I'm probably going to try and get a couple extra hours of sleep, but we can do stuff when I wake up."
"Sounds like a plan!" Stephanie said smiling, and she pulled out her phone to text their mom. She was notorious for her texting; no matter who she was texting, she was known to be wicked fast. Evan always wondered how she could do it. However, this time she went at a normal pace, and it took about 15 seconds to send the message as compared to about 3 seconds. "That's weird," Stephanie said. "Normally I can text WAY faster than that."
"The skill swap must have worked!" Evan exclaimed. "Here I'll show you." Evan pulled out his phone and decided to text his girlfriend Amy and tell her that he wouldn't be at school today and he would miss her. Normally this message would take about 20 seconds to send for him, this time it only took 5.
"No freaking way!" Stephanie said. "You actually have the power! That is so cool!"
"Okay..." Evan said. "I'm going to go sleep for a couple hours, we can hang out when I wake up. Got it?"
