Every time you interact with your younger sister you get reminded how air-headed and annoying she can be. You thought that it will be much better if you raise her intellect and manners with your new found powers. With a snap of your fingers, Ashlie’s mind went blank. You added a pinch of intelligence and at the same time, you make her shyer so she’s less aggressive towards you. After the process finished you wake up your sister to see the results.
„Huh?... What was I, ah yes Matt have you seen my headphones? I need them to study some audiobooks.” - your sister asked.
It was definitely an improvement in her attitude, but at the same time, it wasn’t as flashy as you thought it would be. The change was just too minor for your tastes, now that you could do anything. With another snap, Ashlie went back to maintenance mode and you were thinking what more can you do with her.
„What to do, what to do...” - you talked to yourself while going back and forth in front of your unconscious sister - „I know! We will go all the way with the „smart” part and make you full-blown nerd! - you exclaimed.
You thought about a suitable attire and did your magic again. Firstly the pink dye vanished from her hair leaving your sister with her natural bronze long hair that formed into two braids. Next, her usual clothes got replaced with more formal ones. Her semi-stylish boots turned into cheap trainers with long white socks pulled up as much as possible. Her skirt became a pair of generic khaki pants that seemed to be hiked up higher on her waist. The T-shirt became a white buttoned-up shirt which sleeves and neck collar peaked underneath her new grey V- neck sweater. Lastly, a pair of black, square-rimmed glasses appeared on Ashlie's face. Those complemented her round face and her new outfit quite nicely.
You stood there admiring your work while reality adjusted itself. The memories of your new, dorky sister began to form. In this new version of the world, she was always a shy little mouse that just wanted to be lost in her world of studies, fantasy books and video games. You remember laughing at her when she got her glasses in 3rd grade and then you regretting your action and finally apologizing after you made her cry. You also seem to be calmer since this Ashlie isn’t as annoying as her previous incarnation. You think about your sibling relationship and focus on the new memories and you come to realize that you spend more quality time with your new sister than ever. She was the person that convinced you that fantasy literature isn’t boring and kicked your butt in video games more times that you could remember.
When you were done creating her new character you did your trick again and unfroze your sister.
„Hi, Matt have you seen my notebook?” - Ashlie asked and didn’t realize that anything changed.
„Sure sis” - you answered as you created her notebook and gave it to her.
„Umm… thanks. I’ve been looking for it the whole afternoon! I’m usually pretty organized, but I guess it can happen to anyone.
„You’re welcome” - you said as Ashlie was about to leave your room.
You wonder how much she had changed. You can always find out if you keep her company for a while.
