Celestia was glad that her sister was finally back. A thousand years and she missed her every single second of it. Luckily, the ponies in Ponyville welcomed her and even gave her a flower necklace. Luna, who still looked ashamed, was surprised by the kindness she was offered. Still, one thing remained. Celestia saw that Luna was still in her weakened state, barely any taller than a normal pony and without her celestial mane, she was also unusually quiet, considering that Luna used to be the loudest pony in Equestria.
Celestia hid her dismay at the implications, her sister would need more power to return to her old glory and there was only one way to do it. Her sister would need to devour her subjects. When an alicorn starts to lose power, only eating the flesh of other ponies can help them regain that power. Celestia had to eat half a town worth of ponies before reaching her current level of power. Unfortunately for Luna, her own pony binge was the one recorded in history. Celestia may have been able to get all history books mentioning the practice burned, that did not stop the rumors though.
Keeping the guise up, the princess of the sun celebrated the return of Luna with the other citizens of Ponyville until they returned late at night. Her little sister was pleasantly surprised to see that a nightlife developed in her absence, and that many ponies were still up after sundown. Celestia decided to let her sister spend the night with her since her old room needs to be renovated first, also she would have to talk to her. At first they laid there in silence, Luna already had in idea what her sister wants to tell her.
"Luna," She began. "you know, if you ever want to be able to raise and lower the moon again you'll need to..."
