Chapter #6
Word spreads...
by: Unknown
Rance was just as hungry as Snip, though not for food.
No, Rance was hungry the glitter of gold, the gleam of rubies, and the shine of diamonds. Snip was just starving, her body even wider than it had been the past week, though it hadn't been a pleasurable experience. In the absence of well-cooked meals and beer, Snip's cure took it upon itself to make her eat any plant, berry, root, or odd liquid they came upon.
Now the pair were before Tombside, the sheer black monument to the grand Orc King of old looming over them. Rance's fine clothes were ruined though his knives were as sharp as ever. Snip had no knives any more, or thieving gear of any sort, the thief having sold them for coin to buy as much food as she could.
All of that food saw her through a single day's breakfast and lunch.
But she did have her enlarged thieving gear, though it was starting to tear and she feared if she bent over her ponderous rear would split the leather backside of her pants in two.
"Let us hurry and gather that treasure, then we'll live and feast like kings!" Rance exclaimed.
Snip nodded, rubbing her growling stomach.
She just had to tough it out through this old tomb, grab the largest diamonds she could for her old lovers, and get this damned curse removed, then she could resume the life that had been put on hold thanks to magic.
Waddling on ahead of Rance, she went into the shadowy entrance of the tomb, her partner following behind.
