This choice: The kids are misbehaving as usual • Go Back... No surprises when you walk into a house full of chaos. The two kids, one older girl, Emily, and one younger boy, Thomas, are running amok and creating havoc, just like any other day. The parents quickly leave when you enter and wish you a fun time. Fun. Yeah, right, you think.
To top it off, the parents will be gone until tomorrow evening, making this an overnight job for you! At least they're paying loads of money for it.
You go into the living room. The TV is on, and it looks as though the kids were playing a game, but apparently that was too peaceful for them so they decided to run around the room throwing things at each other instead. You wouldn't stand for this. "Stop!" You yelled at the top of your lungs. They both look at you. "You know throwing things is bad, so stop it now. Look, if you sit down and be quiet, and play some games or watch TV, we'll get some KFC for dinner and I won't have to tell your parents about you being naughty."
"We're not being naughty!" Tom said. They hated when you threatened to tell their parents all the things they did while they were out. They get grounded for ages. It's one of the few satisfactions you get from this particular job.
"Well let's see if you can keep that up," you said. "Otherwise your parents will know everything."
They didn't look happy. But for once, they did as you said. You actually had an okay evening. They weren't well behaved /all/ the time but they still made an effort! But sometimes, they would look at each other, or whisper to each other, and they'd get a grin on their face. Probably just some silly injoke that is only funny to kids, you thought. And unless they start acting up then it's nothing to concern yourself over.
Soon enough, it's time for bed, for all of you. You're even more surprised when they willingly drag themselves to their rooms, brush their teeth and sleep in bed, grinning the entire time. You decide to stay up for a bit, but soon enough you get sleepy enough, and head to the spare room to sleep for the night.  You have the following choice: 1. Mischeif |
