You were busy tinkering on a new explosive project when you received an urgent notice from one of your butlers about a potential client offering some big money on a contract that required immediate action. With a smile you thanked the butler and answered the cellphone he handed you.
The man on the other end was a panicked mess who stuttered and gasped at nearly every other word out of his mouth. He was a well-connected business man who had apparently stepped on the wrong toes somewhere down the line and was now facing a deadly bomb attached to his private jet. His assistants had zero luck disarming it and calling the authorities wasn't possible for whatever reason. That's where you come in.
The guy wanted you to fly out and save him, along with his cargo and his plane if at all possible. Apparently, he had something very valuable on board that he couldn't stand to part with and wants saved at all costs. In exchange, he's offering a massive reward for his safe rescue and the salvation of his personal jet by any means necessary. It would be a pretty tough job and time was definitely a factor... but the cash would be well worth the hassle.
You listen intently as the man gives you as much information about his situation as he can. He was now passing over Australia and would be flying through a nearby region within an hour or so. If the fuel held out you would have roughly five to six hours to save the businessman, disarm or remove the bomb and hopefully save the plane. Challenging, certainly, but not impossible, especially for someone with your skill set.
"I'll begin preparing immediately." you reply as you put away your tools. "Tell your pilot to stay on course, I'll intercept and see what I can do. See you within the hour." With that you hung up just as the businessman blurted out a quick "THANK YOU!" on the other end. With a sigh you head outside to the airfield and tell your pilot to be ready to move as soon as you returned with your gear.
He nodded in confirmation and lit up a cigarette as he began checking to make sure the aircraft was ready to fly. The thing was an old refurbished fighter from WWII when it was first put into action but your talented mechanics had made sure it stayed competitive and up to date in today's modern world. It wasn't the fastest thing in the sky but it was extremely well-rounded and could get the job done.
After changing out of your work clothes you began gearing up to be ready to move as soon as possible. Normally, you liked to do a bit of planning before taking a job, but time wasn't on your side right now. You'd have to quickly and carefully choose your gear and then head out. Risks and many variables still remained unknown, though hostiles and other threats seemed likely. What kind of approach should you take?
