Chapter #6

Hook, Line, and Sinker

As Jenna agreed to the challenge, Alicia and Mary both wore really nasty smirks, and I definitely was having second thoughts. They had something planned and weren't even trying to hide it. Nevertheless, we were in now and there was no backing out . "We'll take you to the spot," Alicia said before looking down at Jenna's shirt. "And leave that behind. If you're going to play volleyball with us, at least leave your rags so I don't have to look at them."

"If you're jealous of my clothes, Alicia, don't be afraid to admit it," Jenna retorted, but she did take the shirt off as we both knew it'd just get in the way during a volleyball match. Underneath was a tye-dye bikini, the same patterns and colours of a 60's hippy shirt and it actually looked really good on her. I couldn't help but ogle her a bit, and when I brought my eyes back up to eye level I saw a hint of jealousy in Alicia's eyes. Throwing the towel over to the rest of our stuff, Jenna regarded the three standing before us with a smirk. "So, you going to take us to this secret spot? Or you having second thoughts?"

"In your dreams," Alicia replied with a glare as she turned and started walking. Kimberly and Mary followed suit as Jenna and I made up the rear after we had picked up our bags. To anybody watching, we could have been old friends going to play a friendly game. We were anything but.

"You sure about this?" I whispered, my gaze cast forward and downward. I must admit, there were worse places to be than behind three very attractive girls with equally attractive butts. That each butt was wearing only little more than underwear made it even better. Even if two out of three of them belonged to arrogant bullies.

"Relax, we can take them in volleyball easily," Jenna replied. Then she noticed I wasn't looking at her, and when she followed my stare she elbowed my ribs. "That is if you can keep from drooling at their eye candy."

"Got it, I'll just drool at yours instead," I answered, looking down at her bikini-clad body and earning a playful swat on the arm. Both Jenna and I started to giggle, making the three in front of us turn around and look at us oddly. Deciding it wasn't important, Alicia continued on without a word, evidently not wanting to get into an argument just yet. Mary glared at us suspiciously for a few seconds before following, and Kimberly just nervously tagged along. My voice dropping to a whisper, I continued talking with Jenna. "You know there's no way they're gonna play fair."

"I know," she whispered back, "but we're good enough that a few miscalls shouldn't matter. Don't worry, we got this." She gave me a huge smile, and I couldn't help but share it.

I just wished I could share her confidence.

It was five minutes before we reached the spot Alicia spoke of, finding that the net had already been set up. The setup was near a sandy cove, with dunes blocking us from both the wind and any passing eyes. A five-minute walk was quite a distance, and the chances of anybody passing by were slim. I realized with a sudden shock that it was just the five of us on our own, and I began thinking of how potentially vulnerable I and Jenna were. Looking at the three brats disarmed me. I couldn't see them being physical threats. Though you could never be too careful, and I was sure they'd thought of something.

After dropping our stuff over at the bottom of a nearby dune, Jenna and I checked out the net and couldn't see anything suspicious. It wasn't until I scanned the surroundings that I noticed two big holes in the ground nearby. They couldn't have been made naturally so I called over to Alicia. "Lemme guess, those are for the losers?"

Alicia nodded. "Yeah, those are part of the penalty," she replied. "The losing team, that will be you two, will lie down in those and get buried."

I quickly did a mental calculation, looking at the sea and the sun. The tides wouldn't reach this far inland, so murder wasn't her objective. "What sort of penalty is that?" Jenna asked, curious.

"Let's just say we've noticed that you two enjoy tickling," Alicia answered as she grinned at us.

"And to be honest, we want to see why you like it too," Mary followed up with, sharing a look with Alicia that told me they were honestly interested. Behind them, I noticed Kimberly was nervously looking up at me and back at her feet, blushing deeply.

I felt heat grow in my cheeks as well as I realized that the holes were short enough that anybody in them would have their feet sticking out and deep enough that a few body parts could be dug down to without freeing the victim. On the other hand, Jenna was grinning from ear to ear. "OK, not a bad idea. Anything that lets us make you three a pile of giggling wrecks is OK by me." She got into position by the net while Alicia and Mary fumed at the thought of getting trapped in those holes. Kimberly just blushed even more furiously. "So how do you want to play this?"

"The rules should be simple enough for even you to understand," Alicia replied as she and Mary got into place. "First team to score ten points wins. Kimberly will be keeping count from the side to make sure neither of you cheat."

Jenna rolled her eyes again at the hypocrisy, the notion we'd be the ones cheating when the ref was clearly in their pocket. Then again, Kimberly might be a bit more fair than either of the other two. Alicia had the ball first, and as she got into position I briefly imagined her in one of those holes, her feet sticking out and subjected to the tickling Jenna and I were giving them. Tearing my mind away from those happy thoughts, I focused on the match at hand as Alicia threw the ball into the air and struck, starting the game.

You have the following choices:

1. We got off to a great start

2. They started cheating from the outset
