“What do you mean 100 dollars?!” Jessica practically barked out, holding up the large rainbow colored stone up in front of the rather thin rat morph behind the counter. “I mean its pretty yea, but unless its made of solid gold id give you like, 20 bucks at most!” she protested, smacking the rock down onto the counter top, the rat simply rubbing his paws together nervously
“well... miss like I said, its a one of a kind artifact from an archaeological dig in the south, they found it atop a pedestal in the middle of a trap infested temple.” the ray murmured defensively, shifting his weight back and forth “It's actually quite a steal... it cost almost 100 dollars just to ship it up here safely”
“yea, cause I totally believe that. I'm sure everything in here is from some rare, valuable dig site isn't it?”She growled out, then sighed, trying to calm herself down a bit. “Look. I don't care if its not authentic, I like how it looks. I just wish you'd be a little flexible with me, and sell it to me for cheaper.” She huffed softly. With her paw covering the rock where it sat on the counter... she didn't notice that a small 'wave' of light seemed to resonate through each stripe of color in turn on it
“Fine. Ill give it to you for 20” The rat replied with a sigh, causing Jessica to blink a bit in surprise. He had been arguing adamantly against her for a good half hour now, and hadn't even once acted like he might drop the price. Weird. She wasn't going to complain though, and happily slammed a 20 dollar bill down on the counter, tail puffed out behind her, and with a swish of her hips she turned and left the store.
“hee... pretty pretty“ She giggled aloud to herself. One of her few more... 'girly' moments, that shed probably punch and threaten anyone other than Ali that saw them, Happily petting her fingers over her new little trinket. She suddenly had to stop mid-step as a car rushed by just infront of her, running a light that just switched from yellow to red, just as she was about to cross the street. With a growl she stared up at the crosswalk light as it changed red, that natural born impatience in her already starting to wear at her. She hated waiting, far too much of a proactive girl to be content with just standing around without being annoyed about it. “I wish the stupid light would change” She huffed... again not seeming to notice the strange glow the rock gave off, two cars almost colliding as the light rather abruptly changed, causing her to blink. “huh... weird.” She murmured, before simply shrugging and heading back across the street.
Minutes passed with Jessica none the wiser of the strange implications of what had been happening... that was about to change however when she saw a large police block surrounding one of the major intersections on her way home. It was like everything was getting in her way to day! With a huffed growl she stomped a paw in annoyance on the sidewalk, briefly glancing to see if she could slip past, which she couldn't, before sighing and turning to take the long way home.
“so sick of this crap today, I shoulda just stayed home with Alli.” She pouted, raising up the stone to stare down at it curiously, as if debating whether it had been worth it or not. “hate taking the long way. I wish I was already home” she huffed aloud... then blinked as she saw the stone glow briefly.
THUNK.
She was sent sprawling onto her ass, a dull throbbing on her forhead where it had hit her front door, causing her to groan and raise her paw up to rub her forhead. Wait. Her front door? She blinked in surprise and raised her head up to look at the front of her and Alli's house, shaking her head a bit as if to make sure she wasn't imagining things. What the hell? She had been almost a mile from home, how the hell did she...
wait.
The stone?
She looked down at it curiously, turning it over in her paw as she slowly pushed herself up to her feet. “no way... couldn't be” She murmured softly. Then decided to test it, almost laughing aloud at herself for thinking something so crazy. What was something that would never happen normally?... ooh, she had it.
“I wish Allison was waiting, inside, with a Vegetarians pizza for us” She murmured aloud, knowing full well The rex, stereotypically, hated pretty much all vegetables. Again she saw, with wide eyes, as the stone seemed to gleam briefly then fade back to normal. Cautiously she pushed the front door open, peering inside for her roommate. “Helloooo~?” she called out, then blinking as she spotted Alli on the couch.
“hey, Jessy.” The rex murmured happily, looking much more awake and alert, if still barely dressed, than she had been earlier, having opted to stay in her pajamas all day today. “I got a little hungry and figured you'd be back soon so I got us a veggies lover pizza.” She replied, gesturing to the aforementioned pizza on the table.
Holy shit. It was real.
Jessica sat there stunned for a brief second as she thought of the implications of this.. and immediately her mind went to sex. She wasn't a slut, or overly horny or anything, but she was very open about her wants and desires... and rather than think of all the crazy things she could do with this, ranging form ending world hunger to taking over the planet, her first thought came to what kind of 'personal' fun she could have with it...
“Oh Alli~...”
