Tails was rather, intimidated, by the red vixen that had shown up at his home unannounced. Fiona Fox and him had a rather turbulent history in the past but he hadn't given up on helping her, and here she was now.
"I know you probably didn't expect me today" Fina sighed shaking her head as Tails blinked.
"I thought you were in Moebius still with... Scourge" Tails responded letting the vixen in out of politeness.
"I thought so too, it's complicated, I got out as soon as I could and I figured you'd be the only one who wouldn't turn me in right away..." she'd rather be up front and honest with the two tailed fox. "I know you probably still hate my guts but let my try to make it up to you" Fiona was almost begging, there was no time to be boastful or prideful, this was the only person who had shown her genuine kindness and she felt wretched for throwing that away for, what she thought at the time was, fame and fortune.
Tails shook his head and sighed looking at Fiona as he sat down on his sofa. 'You know i'm going to have to tell the others your back right?"
"Yeah I know... but you think we could wait a bit? let me prove i'm not the same gal that.... left them"
"you mean betrayed"
"yeah... yeah" she huffed and looked around the quaint home. "You uh need an assistant or anything like" she was fishing for answers and Tails knew it.
"No... no offense but not even Rotor can keep up with how I organize my things... if you really want to help I do have a bunch of food I forget about in the kitchen" It was here Fiona watched Tails begin to blush and rub the back of his head in embarrassment, it was rather cute. "sometimes I get so focused on a project I forget to eat so you would be a big help reminding me to eat."
"I see, I think i'll do one better, I know a few recipes" Tails's ears perked up hearing that small confession.
"Tell you what" Fiona snapped her fingers. "i'll make something right now just to show you!"
Tails blinked and rubbed his chin before giving her a small nod. The vixen took this time to rummage through the kitchen taking note of all the admittedly cheap ingredients the other fox owned. picking out what she wanted she got to work making a meal to try and impress Tails, who'd hopefully allow her to stay.
A few minutes later Tails wiggled his nose smelling the scent of herbs and sauce as Fiona approached where he was sitting with a large plate. "Pasta?" He raised an eye brow looking at the meal, it was a large portion of spaghetti topped with a bright red sauce. "It was the first thing I saw" Fiona admitted as Tails took a fork and sampled a bite. He didn't say anything but his tails did wag together. "Alright you can stay, but we will need to let the others know soon" He spoke wiping his muzzle. Fiona nodded and sighed in relief "right of course just uhh go ahead and finish and i can clean up for you" Tails chuckled a bit at seeing the formerly smug vixen acting nervous. Chowing down on the meal he was impressed at how delicious it was in the short amount of time it was made in, though he had to admit it was incredibly filling, he was used to smaller meals. Slurping the last of the noodles down he let out a soft huff and leaned back on the sofa letting out a heavy sigh and placing a hand on his furry belly. "wow... I don't think i've had so much at once before" Fiona couldn't help but chuckle sitting beside Tails and rubbing his belly. The two tailed fox couldn't help but blush at the attention and Fiona silently enjoyed how soft his fur was as well as the firmness of his full gut. "I guess I need to try and impress you with dinner then" she smiled as Tails blushed and rubbed his cheek.
