"Dumb machine..." you heard your voice curse. "A false activation..." You climb out of the pod and look at your body dumbfounded. "Oh Aunt Kelly, you were in the other pod? That explains why it activated but we should've switched bodies."
You bit your lip and tilted your head, trying to get a read of your body. Was it still you? Your aunt surely couldn't come up with a rouse this quickly.
"What's wrong?" Your body asked you. "Are you feeling alright, is that why you ran off before?"
"The machine did work, I'm Luke," you state. You knew if you told anyone else that, they'd think you were crazy but your the one who built a body swap machine and it did activate with two people inside, so if your body was still you, it'd have to believe you.
"That's a good one Aunt Kelly but the machine didn't work because I'm Luke so it's not possible," your body examined you seemingly wondering what you were playing at.
"But it did work, I hopped in, the machine activated then I ended up in this body... perhaps I didn't calibrate it right, so the transfer went one way..." you surmised. You were worried what that meant for your Aunt Kelly, if you had erased her mind, could you get it back?
"I'm not that dumb, I put fail safes to prevent that exact thing from happening," your body dismissed. He then thought about things further. "Okay if you are 'me' prove it..."
He asked you a whole bunch of questions, ones that were personal to details such as your passwords and back details and other things like that. You were too focused on proving you had actually swapped before you even considered the other possibility. That your aunt figured out what you had made, not hard since you were in her body, and was pretending that it didn't work on your body's end. If this was the case, you had just given her everything she needed to take over your life.
Though your aunt wouldn't do that? Would she?
Your body seemed satisfied with your answers and then said...
