“Are you hungry?” The question seemed simple enough, but you weren’t really able to process it. You weren’t really able to process much outside of the fact that you were no longer in your own body. It made you feel out of place and a little bit uncomfortable. Not particularly paying attention to anything you started to zone out but you were brought back to reality by a little movement at the edge of your field of vision.
“Earth to John. Is anyone in there?” Frank, the other robber and your new partner for the time being said while snapping his fingers in front of your face.
“Huh?” You said, slightly taken aback by how deep your voice was now.
“I asked if you’re hungry?” Frank repeated himself before waiting for you to reply.
You took a second to reply, you weren’t sure at first if you were actually hungry or not. You remember eating dinner with your family but you weren’t exactly in your body anymore and you had no clue if the guy who’s body you now inhabited had eating anything that day. A small hunger pain in your new stomach let you know that your new body probably hadn’t eaten in a while.
“Yeah I could go for something to eat did you have anything in mind?” You asked Frank.
“I was thinking pizza,” Frank told you as he pulled out his phone.
“Pizza works for me,” You told him. You didn’t really care what you ate at this point.
“Okay, I’ll call it it now,” Frank said, “Do you want your usual?”
“Sure,” You replied. You weren’t exactly sure what John’s usual order was, but you definitely didn’t want your new partner to think anything major was up.
“Okay I’ll call it in,” Frank said as he started dialing the number for what you assumed was the pizza place.
While he did that, you decided that you wanted to do some exploring of what you hoped was only your temporary new home. Taking in your surroundings you discovered that you were in a small dated one floor house. Walking around you discover that the place only had two bedrooms. You weren’t sure at first which one was yours but something in the back of your head said that it was the one at the far end of the hall. You walk towards the door and turn the knob before entering the room.
Once inside, you discover that the room is pretty basic. The walls are plain white. It has a queen sized bed in one corner and a bedside table with a lamp on it. You were actually surprised by how clean it was. It looked nothing like the rest of the house which was messy. You figured that Frank was creating most of that mess but you didn’t really want to be in this house long enough to figure it out.
The thought of not wanting to be in the house anymore brought you back to the reality of your situation. You still had to figure out what you were going to do. However looking at the clock you noticed how late it actually was and figured that you would unfortunately have to leave that problem for tomorrow. This meant that you would be spending the night. Not just in a stranger’s house, or even their bed, but there body as well. One part of you wanted to just go to bed and forget what was happening for awhile but you remembered that Frank had ordered pizza for the both of you that you assumed would be arriving any minute. You thought that Frank would find it weird to find you sleeping when the pizza got there so you decided to stay up at least until the food got there. You also thought it was a good idea after your remembered how hungry you now were.
You took the time to explore your new room to figure out a little bit more about who you were going to be for the time being. At a first glance you find what you assume to be John’s Cellphone. You could use that to call the real John in your body and see what he’s doing, though there was the chance that he wasn’t going to answer your call. You also notice that the close you’re wearing are covered in sweat and smell so you could take a shower. This would let you get to know your body a little bit more in-depth. You see a laptop on the bedside table. You could do some research on your body and figure out who John was as a person.
