Chapter #4

Help! I'm a ditz

by: Divine Bandit Author IconMail Icon
The girl runs up to Kyle, clasping his hand. She's out of breath and a look of determination pierces your brother's nerves. "H-Have," she trips over her own words, "Have you seen anything suspicious around here?"

Smiling coyly, Kyle replies with a smile, "Aside from you?"

The girl pushes him away and storms off, running up to another person. Kyle reels her back, "Sorry, I'm sorry! Actually, yeah. I saw something pretty suspicious."

She turns around and runs back to him. "Please, you have to show me," she pleads. Getting close to Kyle again. Not too close, Kyle thinks to himself, discreetly tucking something behind the waistband of his underwear. He leads her inside the garage and shows her the machine with the big, silver pods. She gasps at the sight.

"This... This is extremely suspicious! N-Not quite what I was looking for, but worth investigating!" The girl busily buzzes around the pods while Kyle admires from the corner. Her skirt bounced around and her pigtails flailed around while she did her flustered dance. She was about Kyle's age, though he wasn't certain he knew her. She was wearing a school uniform, so she probably went to some private school in the city. "D-Do you know what this thing is?" she asks.

"I think it's a body switching machine," Kyle says.

The girl doesn't blink an eye at the suggestion. "Like Freaky Friday." She believed him instantly. Was this girl crazy or what? "Now that you say that, this looks just like something out of an old show I saw once. But..." The girl opens the door cautiously and peeks inside. "I'd love to try it out, but I need to destroy this before it can be used for evil! If I blow it up, that should undo all of the changes it has ever made!"

"Woah, hold up, You can't-" Kyle reaches out to grab the girl, but she flinches and falls backwards into the machine. Feeling bad for this clumsy girl, Kyle hesitates for a minute before climbing into the opposite pod and activating the machine.

---

"I-I-I-I'M A BOOOY?" A deafening shriek came out of Kyle's body. He had no idea he was capable of such a noise. He didn't even have a chance to look at himself before he had to do damage control. "Wh-What caused this evil contraption to activate? Di-Did I do it when I said I wanted to try it? I'm... I'm... I'M SO SORRY!" she screamed again. Kyle heard the sound of angry parents stomping through the house.

"It's okay, but you woke up my family with all of your yelling! Do you know what time it is?" Kyle threw a tarp over the machine, so it wouldn't be seen when they arrived. Your brother braced himself for the trouble he'd be in in a few seconds...

---

Kyle stood outside with a confused glaze on his face. When his parents found him with a girl in the garage at this hour, they booted the girl, him, and took your brother, her, upstairs for a stern speaking to. He felt bad that she was getting scolded in his place, but... Well, she was the one who started screaming at this ungodly hour.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Kyle waits for the scolding to be over and sneaks up to his window

2. Kyle scrams

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
