"What's wrong, are you alright?" Kyle asks, stopping the girl from running off. She nods her head, and tries to walk away, but your brother walks after her. "You don't look alright. Do you need to talk to someone?" The girl pauses, and gives your brother a second look. In better lighting, he recognizes her as May Feuler, one of his friend's older sisters. She apparently recognizes him as well, as she opens up. Amidst financial problems and a great deal of stress, her boyfriend just dumped her, and left her stranded down town.
"I'm sorry, May. Why don't you come inside? I can give you a ride home."
---
"This is kind of a strange garage fixture..." May says as she takes a seat in the left pod of the body switching machine. Infatuated by your inventions lining the garage, she appears to have regained some of her composure.
"Yeah, my brother made it. It's a body switching machine. Crazy, huh?" Your brother informs her. He doesn't see it, but May's eyes light up. While Kyle goes to grab his keys to drive May home, she takes the core out of the machine, and hides it in her purse. Kyle returns, and drives her home, and finally walks inside of the house, before he realizes anything.
"Thank you for driving me home, Kyle. You're a real bro', you know that?"
"No problem," Kyle responds, "Any time you need anything, let me know. I know this is hard for you, but things will get better, I promise."
May shuts off the lights in the living room, shutting the door behind Kyle. She gets close and wraps her arms around his neck. Your brother's heart throbs. Is this really happening? Is he getting- "Oh, Kyle. You're absolutely right. Things will get better starting tonight." The next sensation Kyle feels is a quick jolt, and then nothing. Darkness.
