Since you're inside of a girl's body, you decide you'd like to experiment with a few aspects of girliness, and you start looking through all of Erika's drawers to figure out what you have to work with, but inside your sister's underwear drawer, you find something unnatural. A small, black ring box. A pink glow is emerging through the crease where it would open.
Forgetting what you had set out to do, you open up the ring box, and set your eyes on a luminescent, pink ring. The light flows out, bathing the room in a pink hue. This thing could be radioactive, or dangerous! Why does your sister have something like this hidden away in her bedroom?
Under normal circumstances, you wouldn't even touch an object glowing like this, but since it's not your body you decide to satisfy your curiosity. You reach into the box, and remove the ring. As soon as it makes contact, its brilliant glow fades to a more reasonable level. In your hand, though, the ring emits a warmth. Carefully, you slide the ring onto a finger. A wave of rosy energy bursts forth from the ring, covering your entire body. It's changing you- your sister, into something else. You're engulfed. Drowning in power.
And then it stops, and the power no longer surrounds you, because you feel it all welled up inside of yourself. You step over to your sister's mirror and gaze at the reflection. You've transformed into the pink and black, spandexed super heroine known as Pink Lantern! The mask you're wearing covers so little of the face, but for some reason, you've never been able to recognize your sister underneath it when she appeared on TV.
You still have trouble believing it, but your sister is a superhero!
