Bob crashed through the wall, of the burning chemical factory. He was hunting for the last few workers that were unaccounted. The fire marshall was keeping Frozone up to date, with a running count. His powers kept the disaster contained...
Suddenly, Elastigirl turned to the kids, giving them a severe warning to stay out of danger. Dash and Violet exchanged a knowing look, just glad neither of them had been left looking after Jack-Jack. Thankfully some dutiful baby-sitter was left that task.
"Hold on... I'm comin' Bob." she stretched her limbs, her legs twice as long as natural and continuing to grow. She leaped the factory fence, her racing feet covering the ground quickly. Angrily she tossed the walkie-talkie aside. There was no further reply from Bob, she had to get inside, and find out what had happened. Whether he was pinned, unconscious or...
She tried not to think of the worst case scenario. With only the idea of which part of the plant he was in, she went looking.
Stretching and straining her neck she looked in one window after another. Different floors, one after another. Her neck several feet long, could check the third floor as easily as the first. Thankfully, he was on the first.
At least, she saw a red shape inside. Turning herself thin, she flew in the window, as the smoke gouted out.
The air was thick with some horrific smelling chemical. Regretting not waiting for a mask, she knew it wouldn't have helped. Not with her flexibility. But, it might have helped Bob. Getting closer, she saw the red was part of his uniform.
Thankfully protecting him from the flames licking the walls nearby. He was overcome by whatever was causing this stench. Taking a deep breath, she contorted her body as she strained to lift him free.
Unfortunately, the effort was futile, as she too was overcome. Becoming first drowse, then dizzy, she collapsed atop Mr. Incredible, as her body slowly retracted to its usual dimensions.
