Chapter #4

Something else

    by: Unknown
The estate loomed over town, a large stone beast that's gray bricks and, unattended garden glared down on everything. On this night, the fire places burned to keep the place warm. The master bedroom, was connected to a study that connected his room to a second bedroom. The Master himself was one Albert Bentoview, who rarely left his home in some time at age 65. As far as he knew the world outside had changed little since the days he would venture into town. He was consumed with his work. It took 20 years in his lab, but his hard work had paid off.
His work, stood at nearly 6'0, 102 pounds, wearing a silk and velvet boys suit of old. He was broad-shouldered, with dark hair cut into a line that ended just before his blue eyes, with a stoic, blank look on his face. Master Albert, called his 'son', 'Jody' while the servants called him "little" monster, and Jody himself, being just two weeks, had no care for what he was called. Jody's creator-father reasoned, that no matter the size to raise him into a gentlemen, he first had to raise a proper boy. As such his room was furnished properly with books, toys, Mother Goose figures on the wall. This was the second bedroom the study connected his room too. Where the pair sat at the moment on the sofa, before the fire place and a stack of books to educate by. At the moment Master Albert sat reading from a book on etiquette for boys, marked 1902. Keeping Jody close as he read, dropping his voice to a loving cooing tone on some lines.
The old man looked up from he book, seeing the stoic face. "Yes, I agree, this is a bit boring- how about something more fun?" He chuckled setting the book aside to find some poetry books. Jody stood, grabbing his porcelain clown doll, and lumbered over to the window to look. He'd be called back soon but the service elevator was coming up and out step Charles with a normal nightly tray of tea, he started to serve the master. But was slow to ask "and will, uh, ...it be having some too, sir? Or the usual milk?" He uneasily nodded towards Jody by the window.
