“Oh yes! Whoever was controlling the lights must have been somewhere around here, but I don’t think they went this way.”
The food court being next to the electrical closet gave Velma the incentive to investigate in case the intruder retreated to here. Since Velma obviously wasn’t on their trail, it seemed best to just investigate the last known location.
Velma exited the food court and made her way to the junction station next to it. As she did so, Velma noticed the lights around the carnival were still on, but the one under the food court was flickering. “Huh, that’s not creepy at all.”
Once she made a few steps from the court, Velma saw that the station’s door was open. The scratches and deformities in the side of the door made it look like it had been forced open by a crowbar.
“Well I guess the goon who did this didn’t have the keys.” Velma then took out a notebook and began scribbling down her thoughts.
