Sadly in this dark reality Jake is a robot being controlled by some central source either man or machine. He still has his own mind, but can't control any function of his robotic body, pretty much making him a prisoner in his own body. He can still see and hear what is going on. He can't communicate with anyone on his own, be it living or non-living.
There is a chance there could either still be humans around as a resistance or maybe a friend alien race trying to free the human/robot race. Either way is Jake's only chance to regain control and maybe finding the mirror to head home or staying to help free everyone.
So what kind of function is Jake asigned in his robot body by the central controller? Is he a Worker/servent or a Guard/Solider/Warrior?
Note: You can make Jake female in design as a servent or in any other function.
