Chapter #5

A Long Look

"Crap, crap, crap!" Kurt said. Hank was gone and he didn't know how to get him back. He was about to teleport away and find someone to help when a orange light flashed into the lab. It seemed like some sort of portal much like Hank had created. Kurt paused and examined the portal hoping that it was going to be Hank coming out on the other side and put this all behind him, but of course nothing was that easy. Instead of Hank a man with a goatee appeared from the portal. He was floating in the air. He wore blue garments. He had a golden medallion on his neck, with a flowing red cap. The man scowled as he appeared.

"Another dimensional breach, my these things are becoming to common these days. I wish people would stop tampering with things beyond their comprehension." The man mumbled. He seemed to not even realize that Kurt was in the room with him.

"Uhhh.... who are you?" Kurt asked. Astonished that this weird man was now in Hank's lab.

The man frowned. "Who am I, I'm Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme, clearly you have heard of me and my achievements?" He said

Kurt had heard of him, he was one of the Avengers! An expert on the supernatural and the universe. Which only meant he had felt the presence of Hank tampering with the multiverse trying to reach the other universe. "Yeah I have, so um I guess you here about Hank latest experiment then?"

Dr. Strange raised his eyebrow. "What experiment?" He asked.

Kurt goes on to say about Hank's project on creating a device that could connect to other universes in hopes of finding new knowledge that could improve life here on Earth, and the unfortunate malfunction that had abducted him and was now somewhere lost in the multiverse.

Dr. Strange placed his fingers on the bridge of his nose and shook his head. "Do you at least know where he is?" Kurt shook his head. "I see, very well..." After a brief pause Dr. Strange placed his hands together and swiftly orange lights appeared in front of him. The best way Kurt could describe it was it like some magical computer. "Than I'll have to try and find him the slow way calculating through the entire multiverse. Do you have anything he has a strong connection to? It will help me locate him."

"Ugh yeah hold on..' Kurt said as he ran around the lab, till he found a twinkie hiding in one of Hank's drawers. Still had a sweet tooth like always. "Here Hank loves these." Kurt said as he handed the twinkie to Dr. Strange.

"I see, not what I was hoping for but it should do." Dr. Strange used his powers to levitate the twinkie and meditated in midair as he scanned the multiverse looking for Hank.

Kurt looked around feeling awkward and not sure what to do. "Umm well I'll go tell the others." Kurt said as he poofed out of the lab going to find more help.
