A churning in Kiara's gut warned her that she had to poop. She cursed her rotten timing. A potty break wasn't going to make for a very good first impression.
"You okay?" asked Kovu as he watched Kiara bounce a bit on her hind legs. "You look a little... jumpy."
"It's nothing," stammered Kiara quickly. All she needed to do was finish this conversation so she could relieve herself in peace. "I'm just awfully busy, you know, being a princess and all. You wouldn't understand." She backed away from Kovu and began to leave, her tail tucked between her legs, applying pressure.
"Yeah, fine, be that way," she heard behind her. "Typical girls."
Kiara froze. "What did you say?" she asked as she turned.
"You girls are all the same. A bunch of cowards. Are you really that scared of me?"
"Of course not," cried Kiara. "It's just that, that, that..."
"Puh. Excuses, don't care. Look alive."
Kiara didn't have time to prepare before Kovu tackled her to the ground. She felt the air get knocked out of her and was surprised she didn't mess herself right there. She began scrambling to get him off of her.
"Scared of a little roughhousing?" he teased.
"No!" she cried, not entirely sure what question she was answering.
She noticed then that Kovu's front paw was on her gut, pressing down. It was taking everything in her power not to be affected.
