Too late, she's fallen flat onto the floor.

The twin-tailed girl stirred as she opened her eyes.
"What in the..." She groaned, reaching a hand to rub her eyes. Then it hit that the ritual went backwards and her and she passed out, jolting right up and darting for the restroom across the hall. She slammed the door open and ripped off her shirt and began to inspect herself.
Some soot on the lower arms and territory between her thigh highs and skirt? Check. Cleaned off with a nice clean wet wash clothe.
Some bits of desk stuck in her obsidian hair? Check. A good plucking with her delicate digits cleaned that right up.
Her blue eyes scanned across her slim physique, trying to find anything that was amiss. Nothing. She gave out a sigh of relief as she leaned against the sink and sank down, sitting on the floor.
"Thank god for that," she said out loud. She remembered that her circuits seemed fine before the explosion, although the nausea and passing out were still on her mind. Could it have been her brain or a concussion? No, if it was anything resulting in her brain she wouldn't have woken up, more or less remain in a coma. So perhaps magecraft could have caused it?
Practicing her spells should work, as she put on her red sleeved shirt and went to the basement of the manor to practice. Reaching for a red stone, she aimed it at a target dummy, poured prana into it...
And the spell fired off without a hitch, but the kick sent Tohsaka flying, but with a simple Reinforcement she was relatively unhurt as she slammed into some crates.
"Oww...." She groaned, looking up and taking in the damage. The dummy was incinerated, obviously, but the blast was larger than she'd thought, creating a much more blackened smear on the stone walls and floor.
"I just poured a little prana into that fire stone...it should not have caused-" Then it clicked. The ritual! Maybe the side effect was something of a catalyst of sorts, increasing the power of her magecraft and decreasing the amount of prana needed to cast it!
"Awesome!" She chirped, skipping up the stairs humming, chest full of pride and glee as she walked out the doors of the european castle mansion, humming and her mood was like that of the blue sky in Fuyuki Spring. "So Awesome!" She then finally finished traveling up the road and saw her mailbox, and saw a mail.
Good mood gone. Bills.
"Damnit..." She trudged back to the manor. She could have tried to use hypnosis on the bill collectors, but something called the "internet" kept an internal log of her finances, and they wanted payment for her utilities.
Her parents must have been so lucky...not living in this time where the internet had an archive where even she cannot break into with the greatest of magecraft. She shook her fist at the sun.
"Damn you internet and tax collectors!" She puffed out her cheeks and dragged her feet back to the mansion, her left hand itching her bottom in the process. She felt her skirt be a tiny bit snug.
"Must have been the stupid laundry. Sakura says it shrinks clothes..." And she closed the doors with a slam.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
