Kim had been going through withdrawal for several days and NEEDED to get a "fix" before she started to lose her mind.

So when she was sudenly bathed in gamma radiation, you can imagine she didn't react the way a normal person would.

She felt like she was on top of the world and couldn't be stopped... until the beam stopped that is.

Feeling the energy bottled up inside her she begins to change.
