Chapter #4

Liona

by: The Nameless Hermit Author IconMail Icon
As you walk through the city with your father he tells you what to look for in a servent.
"They should be strong. Look for scars if they have a lot don't buy them, it means they don't listen. If the slave is jumpy their better for work inside the castle." You try to remember it all.

Finally you come to the slave traders stand. Everyone makes way for you and father. It begins and a man in silk and velvet walks out with a rope in his hand.
"This is Kane," he pulls on the rope and the man on the other end comes out he is very tell and broad-shouldered. He's wearing a loincloth, "He put up quite a fight, very strong. A little stubborn but nothing a whip can't handle." People start to bid, you don't like it but you'll have to do it eventually, might as well get used to it. More slaves come out and are bought. Finally the slave master announces that he will bring out one more. He pulls on a rope and a girl comes out. She, like the rest, isn't wearing much. She has light reddish-brown hair that stops just above her waist. Her face is set so you can't tell what she's thinking. With her is a...dragon? Why is a dragon with this girl? The dragon has it's legs tied together, so that this girl has to carry it, and a muzzle on. It's scales are scarlet and very small bits of lighting play across it's skin.
"This is Liona. The dragon comes with her."
"Her name it QuickSilver," the girl says, her voice barly more then a whisper. The slave master hits her hard enogh to force her to her knees.
"As you can see Liona is a bit of a troublemaker, but a good whiping can fix that. The dragon is rather vicious, a perfact fighting dragon. Liona is a hard worker, when given a reason. Do I hear a bid?" A few people bid back and forth. There is something about her that feels familar, like you met her somewhere.

Should you buy her?

You have the following choices:

1. Buy her

2. Don't buy her
