David ran to his...what would he call her? His goal? His prize? His life long dream come true? Her back was too him and he could hear the sound the broom made on the wooden floor. She hummed a pleasant tune and as she moved he could see glimpses of her large padded feet and the grey unblemished soles. The sight made him run faster. But like a dog chasing a car he really didn't know what he was going to do when he caught up to her.
Humming to herself, Beth swept the corner of the room oblivious of micro human running toward her. Of course if she'd been facing that direction, she would've noticed. Though who was to say what her reaction to the tiny intruder would be. As it was, she didn't turn in his direction until he was upon her, and by then he was greeted by the broom.
It was at this moment that David knew he'd fucked up.
The bristles of the broom were upon him. No way to run from them or avoid them. He was caught up with the rest of the dirt on the floor as Beth swept. Boulders of dirt and debris was gathered all the while the micro human held on for his life. He knew he had to. He'd seen Honey I shrunk the kids and the last thing he wanted was to end up thrown out with the trash. Of course, if he had been using the head on his shoulders and not between his legs he wouldn't have been in this position in the first place!
Beth looked at the collection of dust with satisfaction before sweeping it up into the dustpan. Carrying it out to the kitchen she emptied it's contents into the trash bin.
