"Sakura, I don't even know if it's possible to make me more in love with you than I am. This is stupid!"
"You may love me already Naruto, but this pill is going to make you have an extreme devotion to me. You will love me so much that the only thing that will matter to you is my happiness."
"That's already all that matters!"
"Wrong." Sakura chuckled. "You're so focused on becoming the Hokage that you haven't been paying me enough attention lately. You and I haven't spent much time together the past few months. Now we will spend every single second together and you won't be distracted by your quest to become Hokage."
"You're going to stop me from becoming Hokage?" Naruto gasped. "Come on! You know how important that is to me. I can guide this world to an age of peace! After everything I've done for you, everything we've been through, I can't believe you would do this to me."
"Oh don't be like that. I'm your dream now." Sakura grinned. "I know you're going to enjoy worshiping me."
"Sakura please stop this! I need the antidote! I love you and will spend more time with you. Just let me keep my dream..."
"You'll be happier worshiping me, trust me Naruto." Sakura smiled. "And I think you should start to be realizing that, ne?"
Naruto could feel growing admiration for Sakura within him. Thoughts of how beautiful and perfect she was began floating through his head. He tried to push those thoughts down; he needed to protect his dream. He couldn't give into these thoughts and give up his dream.
As the pill continued affecting him, Naruto began questioning his dream. Sure he had always been vocal about his dream to be Hokage, but he had always had another dream that he kept quiet as he got older. That dream was to have Sakura acknowledge him and to gain her love.
He started wondering if a person could really accomplish two dreams. He had done little to reach his dream of getting with Sakura over the years because he had been focused on becoming Hokage. He just wrote it off as Sakura not liking him like that, but really, how could he have ever hoped land a girl as perfect and beautiful as Sakura without committing all of his attention and effort to winning her heart?
His eyes widened at the thought. He had been such a fool over the years! Sakura was perfect, his dream girl in every sense of the word. His mom even basically told him to settle down with a girl like her! Instead of wasting his time trying to become Hokage, Naruto should have always been doing whatever it took to make Sakura happy!
Sakura smirked as she watched Naruto's face. He had resisted her pill longer than she expected, but he had succumbed just as she knew he would. She loved seeing his facial expressions flash from angry, to surprised, to understanding and now to the look of pure love and devotion he was currently showering her with.
Sakura mentally patted herself on the back for this plan. She wasn't quite sure what her feelings for Naruto were just yet, but she could see them going either way. The problem WAS that Naruto is easily the most eligible bachelor alive. Powerful, caring, brave, loyal, extremely attractive... he had it all. She needed more time to figure out her feelings for her teammate, but she realistically didn't have that time. Another woman was bound to come in and sweep him up.
That was no longer an issue now. He was solely devoted to her, and no other woman would be able to take him. That allowed Sakura to take all the time she needed. If it turns out she does care about him as something more than a friend - great. She would have a caring and devoted man to grow old with.
If it turned out she doesn't like him like that, then no big deal. He was so madly in love and devoted to her now that he would be willing to do anything for her. He would happily continue serving her while she searched for her true love if she told him that would make her happiest.
She now had all the time in the world now to figure out what her feelings for Naruto meant. She no longer had to secretly be annoyed at him for not spending the time with her and pampering her as she had grown accustomed to over the years (like she was the past couple of months.) She had no need to force anything. She could take her time and enjoy the service of her newest devoted servant. She would let her feelings for Naruto naturally play out.
"Are you mad at me Naruto?" Sakura pouted, pretending not to notice that her pill had taken effect.
"What? Of course not! I'm thankful you're helping me achieve my true dream!" Naruto quickly corrected with a panicked look on his face. He ran forward and wrapped Sakura in a tight hug.
"Good." Sakura giggled. "I'm glad. Would you like to spend the rest of the day with me Naruto?"
"Of course Sakura!"
Sakura flashed her new servant a smile. This had been too easy.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
