Chapter #5Angel girl light manipulator by: storyman   Myrhh continued to explain things to James, who was still a bit confused and rattled. It was then that she pointed something out.
"By the way" Myrhh said, holding Jame's new girl hand. "You might want to take a look at your hand".
"What" asked James as he looked at his hand. In it was Something she didn't expect to see. James was startled as he saw a glowing ball of light energy in his hand. It glowed a bright white color. "Wha-What is this" James said scared, looking at his girl hand. "It is light, formed into a sphere of energy and conjured by your body" Myrhh said.
James was at a loss for words. He tried shaking his hand to shake the light away, but it just grew stronger as he became more nervous. "Stop James, you must control your emotions to wisp that light sphere away". James got a hold of him, or probably now herself. He breathed deeply trying to calm down. In his mind he tried to focus the light sphere away. The light obeyed and disappeared. James was calm for a moment, trying to collect himself. Immediately afterwards he asked Myrhh "wha-what the heck is going on? How did I do that" he asked in his new girl voice.
Myrhh looked with a bit of sadness at James, but it soon changed to a content look. "I didn't wish for you to find out so soon but, you have a great power within you James" she said. James raised an eyebrow before asking "a great...power"? Myrhh responded calmly by saying "yes". "You have a powerful energy resonating within you" she said. "You see during the rebirthing process we were repairing your body, but we found something unexpected. During the process an energy ignited within your body. It changed you. Your eyes became a bright blue and while it isn't certain, this energy was probably partially responsible for transforming you into a girl. We don't know what this energy was, but we theorize it was your good intention of saving my life that manifested itself into light energy that burns within your body during your rebirth into a mysterian. It was a rare finding for even us Mysterians".
James was overwhelmed by this new discovery. Myrhh saw his sad face and comforted him by saying. "You should be happy James. That light energy is a gift. In fact you're one of the very few Mysterians that have ever been granted such a power,and probably the only one who can control light". James sat still overwhelmed, but calmed himself and simply looked up at Myrhh. Myrhh could see into his eyes. James was unaware of this, but his eyes glowed during brief moments, changing from blue to yellow and back.
"So, this power, it burns within me and I can make these...light balls" he asked again to be sure. Myrhh giggled and happily responded "yes, and you can do so much more with light than you know" she said. "But you have to learn and train" Myrhh said.
"Alright then" James said, accepting this situation as much as he could. He couldn't believe it. First he was a girl, then he found out he had some sort of superpower. In his own short way, he said that the whole situation was him having an "off day". "It may seem hard to take in, but I promise you that this will be the beginning of a new life for you" Myrhh said.
James simply nodded in agreement. "Good, now the next matter is deciding your name. It should be something to reflect your new form and species, hmmm" Myrhh thought. After a moment she brainstormed a perfect name for James' new angelic, girl form. "Ah, I know" she said.
James looked on in anticipation of what name she thought, though he really preferred his own name although he knew he wasn't a "he" anymore.
"Your name will be" Myrhh said...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
