As they flew down, James had a few moments to study the weaponry. It was enormous. When they landed, James wanted to ask a question. But one look at the his instructor's face, and James knew that he was not in the mood for questions - as usual. So wordlessly, they went on inside.
"Here, Choose your weapons. I don't have much time," He said, checking his little odd winged watch.
James immediately got down to work and went to search for an weapon. He knew this was important. If he did choose a weapon which he was unable to wield, he would most probably fail the Tests.
The first weapon he came across was a javelin. He knew that throwing was his weakness - he hadn't a single muscle under that shirt of his. So, he simply walked away from it.
He'd started to size up some Misterian-made swords, when he heard the irritating voice of his instructor. " Hurry up! I don't have all day!"
'ARG.' James thought. ' Can his instructor just stop bugging him?'
"Hurry!" The instructor yelled.
James rolled his eyes, but when his Instructor began to stalk off out of impatience - James realized he was serious. James quickly snatched the nearest figthing piece of stick before him before racing after Shadow.
His instructor finally decided to turn. He scoffed for a moment or two, before inspecting the piece of stick that James held in his hand.
"I see," he said solemnly. "A Misterian-made sword?"
James gawked at the stick in his hand. "This is a sword? It doesn't even look like one!"
Shadow scowled. "That, little fool, is one of the greatest Misterian-made swords ever created! I dare say you've just insulted our entire race!" He accused furiously.
James opened his mouth, before closing it without another word. Fine by him. He lifted the 'sword' to inspect it once more. You really couldn't blame him for mistaking it for a stick, because it really did resemble one from all four aspects. James began to wonder if winning was even possible with this thing.
